Residents of these recognized Safe Zones will receive full government support for health insurance premiums and 100% coverage of medical examination and treatment costs, as per regulations.
To ensure these benefits, the Ca Mau Social Insurance Agency and related units will issue new health insurance cards to 77,651 individuals, update benefit codes for 48,450 recognized residents, and manage 83,385 self-paying health insurance participants.
Additionally, they will collaborate with local authorities to inform residents about Safe Zone health insurance cards and guide them in reclaiming previously paid insurance premiums at administrative service centers, in compliance with regulations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien, a resident of Hung My Commune, shared: “We are overjoyed to learn that our community has been designated a Safe Zone, granting us access to state-supported benefits. With government-funded health insurance, my family can save money to support our children’s education. We are deeply grateful to the Party and the State.”

The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency (BHXH TPHCM) requests all local authorities to compile a list of permanent residents aged 65 to under 75 and submit it to the local BHXH office by November 25, 2025.
