This marks the second relief effort in less than two months, following the VND 500 billion aid package announced on October 1, 2025, for Typhoon Bualoi, bringing Vingroup’s total contribution to VND 1 trillion.
During Typhoon Bualoi, Vingroup, through its Thien Tam Foundation, swiftly collaborated with local authorities to provide support. In nearly two months, over VND 350 billion out of the VND 500 billion has been directly disbursed to residents in 25 provinces and cities, prioritizing emergency cases.
The most significant aid was allocated to severely affected areas, including: Ha Tinh (VND 136.7 billion), Nghe An (VND 61.6 billion), Ninh Binh (VND 19.39 billion), Thai Nguyen (VND 21.28 billion), Gia Lai (VND 15.5 billion), Dak Lak (VND 13.74 billion), Thanh Hoa (VND 13.52 billion), Da Nang (VND 9.92 billion), Cao Bang (VND 9.67 billion), and Thua Thien Hue (VND 6.93 billion).
The remaining VND 150 billion will continue to be disbursed to provinces for the construction and reconstruction of essential public facilities, with local governments expediting the necessary documentation. Provinces expected to receive funding include: Ha Tinh (VND 30 billion), Nghe An (VND 17 billion), Lao Cai (VND 15 billion), Tuyen Quang (VND 37 billion), Thai Nguyen (VND 15 billion), Cao Bang (VND 5.5 billion), Phu Tho (VND 6 billion), Lai Chau (VND 5 billion), Son La (VND 15 billion), and Quang Tri (VND 4.5 billion).
Due to the severe damage caused by recent floods in Central Vietnam, Vingroup has launched a second VND 500 billion aid package, maintaining the same criteria of Timeliness, Accuracy, and Transparency as the first phase. The new package is expected to allocate VND 200 billion to Dak Lak, VND 100 billion to Khanh Hoa, VND 100 billion to Gia Lai, and VND 100 billion to Lam Dong.
The second VND 500 billion package will focus on directly and severely affected individuals. Specific support levels are as follows:
Families whose homes are completely destroyed will receive VND 60 million per household.
Families with homes damaged by 50% or more, belonging to categories such as Veterans, Poor/Near-Poor households, and Families in Special Circumstances (including those with no income, single parents with young children, elderly living alone, families with severe illnesses, orphaned children under 16, Agent Orange victims, and families with disabilities), will receive VND 20 million per household.
The Thien Tam Foundation has established rapid response teams comprising Vingroup employees to collaborate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front in various provinces, ensuring swift and accurate support to those in need.
In addition to emergency aid for affected families, the Thien Tam Foundation will also support the reconstruction of school infrastructure to stabilize educational activities and ensure a safe learning environment for students. It will also consider repairing essential public facilities (bridges, roads, clean water systems) severely damaged in remote and mountainous areas lacking funds.
Over the years, Vingroup has been a pioneer in community support, dedicating over VND 30 trillion to charitable programs, leading efforts in COVID-19 prevention, large-scale disaster relief (including VND 250 billion for Typhoon Yagi in 2024), and various initiatives in Gratitude and Repayment, Social Welfare, Healthcare, Education, Culture, and Sustainable Agriculture nationwide.
