According to information from The Gioi Di Dong (MWG) on the morning of November 28, Bach Hoa Xanh officially expanded its market to the Northern region with the simultaneous opening of 20 stores in Ninh Binh province. This marks the first locality in the North to host Bach Hoa Xanh’s supermarket system after nearly a decade of operation in the Southern and, more recently, Central regions.

Ninh Binh was chosen as the first location for Bach Hoa Xanh’s Northern expansion due to its strategic position connecting the two regions and the ability to leverage existing operational infrastructure from the Central region. Establishing stores in this province allows the company to maintain a continuous supply and preservation process for its goods.

“We selected Ninh Binh because it serves as a strategic gateway—close enough to optimize operational resources from the Central region, yet distinct enough to help Bach Hoa Xanh gain deeper insights into Northern shopping behaviors,” a Bach Hoa Xanh representative stated.

According to the representative, Ninh Binh will serve as a “critical strategic stepping stone” in the expansion plan for the Northern provinces.

“We aim to provide Northern customers with a familiar shopping space, offering a full range of fresh produce and essential items, with a commitment to ‘quality as a lifeline,'” the representative added.

In this new rollout, Bach Hoa Xanh will maintain its phased implementation approach, prioritizing the quality of operations at each store. The new stores will range in size from 150 to 200 square meters, located in residential areas or convenient traffic hubs. The product range includes fresh produce, vegetables, meat, eggs, essential household items, and groceries.

All staff are local workers trained according to the system’s unified standards. Moving forward, the group plans to expand to neighboring localities based on the operational capacity of each area.
