Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Manh Cuong, has recently signed a decision to dissolve the Ho Chi Minh City Construction Inspectorate.

According to the decision, the Department of Construction is tasked with taking over the working premises, assets, equipment, and work vehicles of the Construction Inspectorate for continued use in the state management activities of the Department of Construction, as per regulations. Additionally, the department is to reorganize and assign personnel from the Construction Inspectorate (including leadership and management officials, as well as specialized staff) to ensure alignment with appropriate job positions. The department will also collaborate with the Ho Chi Minh City Police to initiate the seal revocation process for the Construction Inspectorate, as required.

The Construction Inspectorate is responsible for handing over its seal, personnel, assets, work equipment, and any other related matters.

The Department of Home Affairs is tasked with guiding the Department of Construction in executing procedures related to the personnel reorganization plan of the Construction Inspectorate upon dissolution. This includes transferring functions, duties, and personnel to the Specialized Inspection Division or other specialized departments and units within the department. The Department of Home Affairs will also determine the job positions and staffing levels of the department post-reorganization, ensuring alignment with practical needs and optimizing the organizational model for the upcoming phase.
