In a short period, the Vietnamese automaker has become one of the most promising names in India’s highly competitive electric vehicle market. This success is a testament to the company’s long-term vision and commitment to providing high-quality, accessible electric vehicles to customers.
Mr. Phạm Sanh Châu, CEO of VinFast Asia, expressed the company’s honor in receiving these awards at the Jagran Hi-Tech Awards. The accolades reflect VinFast’s achievements in a short time in India.
He also extended gratitude to customers for their trust. The positive market response and growing confidence in the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs confirm India’s readiness for the green mobility era.

Mr. Châu emphasized that VinFast aims to build momentum by expanding its network, strengthening local operations, and delivering a premium electric vehicle experience to Indian customers.
Additionally, Mr. Arjit Garg, Automotive Editor at Jagran New Media, praised VinFast’s role in accelerating India’s electric vehicle transition. The company’s rapid advancements in technology, design, and sustainability position it as a global force shaping the future of electric mobility.
“VinFast is the only electric vehicle manufacturer to inaugurate a plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu this year. This demonstrates the brand’s significant progress in India’s mobility space, with a human-centric vision and long-term investment roadmap. Therefore, the titles ‘Electric Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year’ and ‘Breakthrough Electric Vehicle of the Year’ for the newly launched VF 7 are well-deserved,” Mr. Arjit Garg emphasized.
To enhance its operations in India, VinFast will continue to build and refine a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem. This ecosystem includes retail, charging, and after-sales services to ensure a seamless customer experience. With 24 operational dealerships in major cities, the company plans to expand to 35 dealerships by the end of 2025.
Central to this development is VinFast’s manufacturing and assembly facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, spanning 400 acres (161.874 hectares). In the initial phase, the plant will assemble the VF 6 and VF 7 models with an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles per year, scalable to 150,000 units.
VinFast is also forging strategic partnerships with leading banks and financial institutions in India to offer tailored financial solutions.
Furthermore, collaborations with infrastructure partners such as RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure are contributing to the development of a charging network and after-sales services. The company has also partnered with BatX Energies for advanced battery recycling, creating a circular battery value chain and reinforcing its sustainability commitment.
