Fushan Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. is seeking feedback on the Fushan Technology (Vietnam) Factory project located in the VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park.
This marks the third phase of consultation for the facility. The factory will house a total of 38 production lines, distributed across workshops 1, 2, and 3. Upon completion, the annual production capacity will reach 198.2 million units.
By October 2025, workshops 2 and 3 will be fully constructed, with ongoing installation of production line components.
Phase 3 is scheduled for production line installation between October 2025 and January 2026, followed by trial operations from January to March 2026, and official operations commencing in April 2026.
Key products in phase 3 include mobile phone assembly, smart wearable devices (smartwatches, smart rings), and other electronic devices.
At full capacity, the company anticipates employing 35,820 workers.
Regarding unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the company reports an annual production capacity of 100,000 units, utilizing materials sourced from Vietnam and China.
For Microsoft’s renowned Xbox gaming console, the company reports an annual production capacity of 4.8 million units, using materials sourced from China.
With the addition of Xbox production, Vietnam will solidify its position as Foxconn’s primary hub for manufacturing leading global gaming devices, including Sony’s PlayStation, Nintendo’s Switch, and Microsoft’s Xbox.
Fushan Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. originated as Nokia Vietnam, which received its investment certificate in November 2011. Nokia began construction in March 2012 and completed all construction phases by September 2013. The factory commenced production in June 2013.
Subsequently, Microsoft reached a $350 million agreement to sell its traditional phone business to FIH Mobile Limited, a subsidiary of Foxconn, and HMD Global, Oy. FIH Mobile Limited took over Microsoft Mobile Vietnam, which was renamed Fushan Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in 2017.
According to Foxconn’s data, the implementation of supply chain synchronization and digital planning has reduced inventory levels by 35%. Notably, in the last fiscal year, Fii’s new technology application segment in Vietnam recorded an 83% revenue growth, while personnel increased by only 20%. This significant disparity between revenue and workforce growth highlights a dramatic improvement in labor productivity, with UPH increasing by over 50%, fundamentally shifting away from the traditional reliance on low-cost labor.
