According to Honda Vietnam (HVN), customers purchasing the Honda ICON e: electric scooter will receive a direct cash rebate of VND 5,000,000 per unit. This significant incentive is offered for the first model produced by Honda in Vietnam in April 2025. The ICON e: is positioned as an affordable electric scooter, targeting students, urban commuters, and young professionals.
The VND 5 million rebate reduces the effective price to approximately VND 21.9 million, making the ICON e: highly competitive against rivals like the VinFast Evo200 (around VND 22 million, battery excluded) and Yadea Vigor (around VND 16 million, battery included).
Technically, the Honda ICON e: features a 1.5 kW electric motor, delivering a top speed of 49 km/h, which complies with regulations for non-A1 license operation. It uses a removable Lithium-ion battery (30.6 Ah) with IP67 water resistance, offering a range of 50-71 km on a single 7.5 to 8-hour charge.
The scooter measures 1,796 x 680 x 1,085 mm, weighs 89 kg, and includes a 26-liter storage compartment and CBS braking system. The suggested retail price starts at VND 26,900,000 (battery excluded).

Alongside electric scooter promotions, HVN offers incentives for its gasoline scooter lineup. Customers can participate in a lucky draw with 1,600 Wave Alpha scooters as grand prizes.
These promotions reflect Honda Vietnam’s strategy to boost demand, particularly for electric models like the ICON e:. The aggressive pricing may anticipate urban policies, such as Hanoi’s planned ban on gasoline motorcycles within Ring Road 1 starting July 1, 2026.
