Hue Rakes in VND 11.7 Trillion from Tourism

According to the Hue City People’s Committee Office, November marked a remarkable surge in the city’s tourism sector. Visitor numbers rose by 5.6% compared to October and soared by 63% year-on-year.

From January to November, Hue attracted more than 5.8 million visitors, with 1.7 million international tourists. Tourism revenue is estimated at 11.7 trillion VND, a 63% increase year-on-year, cementing its role as a key driver of the city’s economic growth.

The service and trade sectors maintained steady growth, with total retail sales and service revenue reaching nearly 60 trillion VND, up 14.8%. Export turnover for the 11-month period hit 1.342 billion USD, a 19.3% rise, while imports grew by 16.8% to 1.1 billion USD. Mobilized capital and credit balances increased, with bad debt controlled at 1.7%.

Total investment capital in the city exceeded 33.642 trillion VND, a 15.6% increase. Hue approved 44 new projects, including 10 FDI projects. New business registrations rose by 30%, with registered capital quadrupling year-on-year.

Budget revenue was another highlight, surpassing the annual target at 12.9 trillion VND. Public investment disbursement reached 63% of the Prime Minister’s plan, placing Hue among the top-performing localities nationwide.

Administrative reforms continued to show positive results, with Hue ranking 6th in the PCI index and 7th in PAR-INDEX. After five months of implementing the two-tier local government model, operations have been seamless and efficient.
