Thousands of tons of Hoa Phat prestressed concrete strands are widely used in major highway, overpass, and construction projects, replacing imported alternatives.
Prestressed concrete strands (PC Strand) are high-strength steel products commonly used in concrete structures such as bridge girders, apartment floors, and long-span frameworks. In Vietnam, Hoa Phat is the sole manufacturer of this product line, significantly reducing reliance on imports.
Hoa Phat operates a state-of-the-art production line with a capacity exceeding 200,000 tons annually, fully imported from Italy. Leveraging 100% in-house raw materials from the Dung Quat Steel Complex, Hoa Phat ensures consistent quality and competitive pricing.
Hoa Phat’s PC Strand has been deployed in initial phases of the North-South Expressway, including the National Highway 45 – Nghi Son and Vung Ang – Bung sections.
Key projects utilizing Hoa Phat’s products include the Dong Dang – Tra Linh Expressway, Friendship Gate – Chi Lang Expressway, Ninh Binh – Hai Phong Expressway, and Hoa Binh – Moc Chau route. Notably, in Cao Bang and Lang Son, Hoa Phat supplied thousands of tons for bridge girders in challenging mountainous terrains.
In Central Vietnam, the Gianh and Quan Hau bridges in Quang Binh utilize Hoa Phat’s PC Strand for Super T girders and cantilever segments. The Gianh Bridge, joined on November 9, 2025, will enhance regional connectivity and socioeconomic development upon completion.
Beyond infrastructure, Hoa Phat’s PC Strand is integral to major civil and commercial projects, including Long Thanh Airport, Aeon Mall, and Vinhomes developments.
Hoa Phat is actively expanding its PC Strand production capacity to meet growing domestic and international demand.
