This is a Grade I energy project, invested by EVNNPT, managed by CPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 1. The project was approved by the People’s Committee of Nghe An Province under Decision No. 123/QD-UBND dated November 11, 2024.

The project was completed over a month ahead of the approved schedule, thanks to the decisive involvement of local authorities, the cooperation of residents along the route, and the strong leadership of EVNNPT and CPMB. The dedication of participating contractors also played a crucial role in achieving this milestone.

The 220 kV Do Luong – Nam Cam power line project spans several communes in Nghe An Province, including Thuan Trung, Bach Ha, Van Kieu, Phuc Loc, Thuan Linh, Nghi Loc, and Yen Trung.

The project involves the construction of two 220kV circuits from the 220kV Do Luong Substation to the 220kV Nam Cam Substation, with a total length of approximately 37 km. A 4 km section from G4 to G6 features four circuits, sharing the same route with two 110kV circuits of the Do Luong – Nam Dan line.

The expansion of the Do Luong Substation includes the installation of equipment for two 220kV bays and the integration of an information system for the 220kV Do Luong – Nam Cam power line.

Upon completion, the project will meet the electricity demands of the Central region, supporting key industrial loads in Nghe An Province and fostering local socio-economic development. It will also strengthen the power grid connection between Northern Vietnam and Laos, alleviating electricity strain in the North and enhancing the stability of the national power system. Additionally, it will reduce transmission losses and improve the operational efficiency of EVN and EVNNPT.

The project’s completion is a meaningful contribution by EVNNPT and CPMB to the 5th EVNNPT Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, held in Hanoi from November 30 to December 1, 2025.
