After over four years of construction, the Dong Nai Riverside Road project in Tran Bien Ward, stretching from Hoa An Bridge to the border of the former Vinh Cuu District, has been fully opened and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

According to VTC News, over 5km of the road has been paved with asphalt concrete, with completed sidewalks, medians, and lighting systems.

On-site, construction units are maximizing manpower and equipment to accelerate progress. Machinery operates continuously, and workers are divided into shifts to complete project components in time for the 2025 acceptance and operation.

Construction units are mobilizing manpower and machinery for the final sprint on the Dong Nai Riverside Road project.

Workers install the lighting system at the project site.

The only remaining urgent construction section is near the “Võ Hà Thanh Mansion” (also known as Lau Ong Phu), a century-old architectural gem. Initially slated for partial demolition, experts and scientists advocated for its preservation. Dong Nai Province adjusted the design to reroute the road, preserving this historic structure.

A representative from Van Nga Phat Co., Ltd. (part of the construction consortium) stated that after the design adjustment, the contractor maximized equipment and manpower to expedite the section near the historic villa.

The Dong Nai Riverside Road project, funded by the state budget, totals nearly 2 trillion VND. This includes 1.339 trillion VND for road construction (started in late 2021) and 613 billion VND for riverbank reinforcement (started in late 2022).

This key provincial project is expected to create a new transportation axis and enhance the urban riverside landscape.

According to the Area 1 Project Management Board (Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee), the entire project will be substantially completed by December 2025, followed by acceptance for operation.

Upon completion, the riverside road will not only alleviate traffic congestion in central Dong Nai but also create a scenic axis, fostering economic and social development and improving the quality of life for Tran Bien Ward residents and the province as a whole.
