Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, Phan Thái Bình, met with Geleximco Group to address challenges and obstacles in their ongoing projects within the city.
During the meeting, Geleximco presented updates on four large-scale projects. For the Mixed-Use Urban Area South of Nguyen Tat Thanh Axis (296ha, Quang Phu Ward), the company reported changes in investment scale due to updated project proposal regulations. The requirement to develop synchronized infrastructure for land transfer, rather than allowing residents to build independently, poses significant market feasibility challenges.
Regarding the Tam Anh – An Hoa Industrial Zone (435ha), the primary issue is the slow progress in compensation and land clearance. Contributing factors include staffing shortages, difficulties in verifying land origins, and incomplete infrastructure in the Tam Anh resettlement area (Phase 4).
For the Blue Sea Tourism Urban Village Project (1,200ha), Geleximco is developing planning concepts and has requested the city’s input on land allocation in Thang Truong and Thang An communes.
The Quang Phu Eco-Tourism Urban Area (1,600ha) is currently on hold, awaiting adjustments to the overall economic zone planning.
Vice Chairman Phan Thái Bình acknowledged Geleximco’s efforts in project preparation. He instructed relevant departments to review and proactively resolve issues within their jurisdictions.
The city pledges to facilitate project implementation once investors complete legal procedures, demonstrate financial capability, and provide clear phase-by-phase timelines.
