Strategically located at the intersection of six major transportation routes—Hanoi Highway, Metro Line 1, Ring Road 3, DT 743A Road, Nguyen Xien Street, and Dong Nai Bridge—the Tan Van Interchange plays a pivotal role in connecting the economic triangle of Ho Chi Minh City, former Binh Duong, and Dong Nai.

Spanning 76.3 km with a total investment of VND 75,378 billion, Ring Road 3 in HCMC traverses through HCMC (including former Binh Duong), Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh. As of now, approximately 63% of the construction work has been completed.

Designed with a three-tier traffic system and five overpass branches, the Tan Van Interchange stands as the most technically complex junction along the entire Ring Road 3.

Beam installation is underway at a high intensity.

The elevated section of Ring Road 3 has entered the beam installation phase, with multiple piers also prepared for beam connection.

Construction is progressing alongside heavy traffic flow, necessitating robust safety measures and flexible site management.

According to the HCMC Transportation Project Management Board, the Tan Van Interchange under Package XL1 was the last to commence construction among the packages in the former Binh Duong province segment.

Construction units are ramping up manpower, equipment, and round-the-clock operations to meet deadlines.

From the Tan Van Interchange, Ring Road 3 begins its 14.7 km elevated stretch.

If the current pace is maintained, the entire project—including both the viaduct and expressway—is slated for completion and operation by 2026. Ring Road 3 is anticipated to alleviate HCMC’s traffic congestion while unlocking new development opportunities for the Southern Key Economic Region.
