According to the resolution, key personnel at the Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant, including the CEO, Head of Technical and Safety Department, and Operations Workshop Manager, are currently cooperating with authorities. Consequently, the company’s leadership has temporarily reassigned responsibilities to other staff to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
As per company information, the CEO of Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant is Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu, born in 1975, holding a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined the company in 2008 as Head of the Technical Department and was promoted to Deputy CEO in 2018. On March 22, 2025, he was appointed as a Board Member and Acting CEO.
The Board of Directors has assigned Chairman Vu Huu Phuc to temporarily oversee the Executive Board’s activities and granted him the authority to act as the company’s legal representative during the CEO’s leave and cooperation with authorities.

Established in 2007, Song Ba Ha Hydropower Plant became a public company in 2008. The company currently has a chartered capital of over VND 1.24 trillion and operates a 220MW power plant with a reservoir on the Ba River. Major shareholders include: EVNGENCO 2 (under Vietnam Electricity Group – EVN) with 61.78% ownership, REE Energy Company Limited with 25.76%, and Southern Power Corporation with 7.21%.
