On December 2nd, Fortune, in collaboration with Great Place To Work®, unveiled the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ in Southeast Asia. This marks the first time the prestigious Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ list has expanded to the Southeast Asian region.
Over 1.3 million employees participated in the survey, providing insights into their workplace culture, with more than 550,000 verified responses.
Vietnam leads the list with 10 companies featured, outpacing all other countries. This highlights a significant shift among Vietnamese businesses in fostering a compelling workplace culture to attract and retain top talent. These companies stand out for their innovative employee support policies, including expanded mental health programs, generous family leave, and a resilient, adaptive spirit in the face of economic fluctuations.
Notably, Vietnam is the only country with two companies in the top 10: Vinmec Healthcare System (ranked 7th) and Highlands Coffee (ranked 9th).
This achievement demonstrates that Vietnamese companies can create trustworthy, supportive work environments on par with global multinationals in terms of employee experience.
To qualify for the ranking, companies must first achieve Great Place To Work certification and have a minimum of 200 employees across Southeast Asia at the time of certification.
The Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For™ in Southeast Asia is based on Great Place To Work’s proprietary Trust Index™ survey. This survey evaluates employee experiences through anonymous feedback and cross-references it with company HR data. Only companies with consistently high scores across all employee segments, regardless of position or tenure, make the list, ensuring a comprehensive measure of workplace experience.
