Massive Discount: This Smartphone Outshines the iPhone 17 Pro Max

As the year draws to a close, retailers and stores are rolling out massive discounts on various smartphone models, particularly flagship devices. This strategy aims to clear inventory and boost domestic consumption. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is no exception to this trend.

Currently, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the best-selling model in the entire Galaxy S25 lineup. Samsung began distributing it in Vietnam in early February. After nearly a year on the market, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is seeing significant price adjustments in Vietnam.

A survey across multiple retailers reveals that the 256GB variant is now priced at approximately 22.6 million VND, a 2.4 million VND drop from last month and a staggering 11.4 million VND reduction from its launch price.

However, certain special color editions are priced slightly higher, ranging from 300,000 to 600,000 VND more. Despite this, these prices mark the lowest ever for the Galaxy S25 Ultra since its release in Vietnam.

As the device enters the final phase of its lifecycle, with the Galaxy S26 series expected to launch in the coming months, the Galaxy S25 Ultra continues to maintain steady sales thanks to its increasingly accessible price point.

According to a retailer, each price adjustment has led to a noticeable increase in sales. Compared to its predecessor, sales have risen by approximately 5%—a positive figure in a fiercely competitive premium market.

In the high-end segment, the Galaxy S25 Ultra directly competes with the iPhone 17 Pro Max and other Android flagships such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Pro, and vivo X300 Pro.

With its new pricing, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is several million VND cheaper than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, while offering comparable features and performance.

Design-wise, the device doesn’t deviate much from its predecessor but features refined touches such as a titanium frame and softer, rounded corners for a more comfortable grip. It’s 15% thinner than the previous model, making it easier to hold and carry.

The display has been upgraded for durability, featuring Gorilla Glass Armor 2 and a Grade 5 titanium frame. The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, rivaling Apple’s offerings. Samsung has also added an anti-glare coating, ensuring comfortable use even in bright sunlight.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra handles all tasks smoothly, including graphics-intensive gaming and photo/video editing. It comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a 200MP primary camera with enhanced optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and two telephoto lenses with 3x and 5x zoom. The 12MP front camera delivers sharp selfies and video calls.

Equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, the device offers up to 15 hours of usage. Additionally, it supports 45W fast charging, fully charging the battery in under an hour.
