According to Hung Yen Newspaper, on December 2, the Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen Province held a conference to implement and develop the project for establishing the Hung Yen High-Tech Park.

As proposed, the Hung Yen High-Tech Park (Hung Yen – HTIZ) is expected to cover approximately 220 hectares in phase 1, expanding to over 496 hectares in phase 2, located in Hoan Long and Viet Yen communes.

The planned area is about 20 km from Hanoi’s city center, close to urban development corridors and major research and training centers.

The high-tech park’s ecosystem is designed to include research, training, high-tech manufacturing, innovative services, and supporting industries to drive sustainable growth.

By Q4/2025, Hung Yen Province plans to submit a report to the Government seeking approval for urgent adjustments to the provincial planning and complete the first draft of the project proposal.

In Q1/2026, the province aims to approve the streamlined planning adjustments, finalize the project dossier, and submit it to the Prime Minister through the Ministry of Science and Technology.

From 2026 to 2028, Hung Yen will focus on completing phase 1 technical infrastructure. By 2029–2030, the high-tech park is expected to attract 150–200 high-tech enterprises, 1,000 startups, and satellite offices of international corporations. The total infrastructure investment is estimated at 11,500 billion VND.

During the conference, leaders from various departments and international experts discussed strategies to refine governance models, investor attraction methods, and mechanisms to ensure the project’s effective and timely implementation.
