Son Hai Group Announces Major Highway Project in Vietnam
Recently, Son Hai Group announced on their official fanpage that they have been selected by Lam Dong Province as the investor for the Tan Phu (Dong Nai) – Bao Loc (Lam Dong) Expressway project. This public-private partnership (PPP) aims to create one of the most impressive highways in the Southeast and Central Highlands regions of Vietnam.
The project will span approximately 65.88 kilometers, with 11.91 kilometers in Dong Nai Province and 53.97 kilometers in Lam Dong Province. It will connect key areas including Ward 1 and Ward 2 in Bao Loc, as well as Da Huoai, Da Teh, Phu Lam, and Nam Cat Tien communes.

Son Hai Group, the winning bidder, will execute the project under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) contract. The total investment is VND 14,475 billion, funded through equity, loans, and government support. This Group A project is classified as a Level I road infrastructure, designed for a speed of 80 km/h.
The highway will feature a 22-meter-wide foundation in its final phase, accommodating four lanes. The initial phase will include a 17-meter-wide foundation with intermittent emergency stops. Critical sections such as deep excavations, elevated embankments, and interchanges will adhere to the final phase specifications to ensure technical compliance.
Supporting infrastructure includes an intelligent traffic management center, toll stations, emergency rescue stations, rest stops, and vehicle weight control facilities, all designed to meet current standards for efficiency and safety.
Construction is expected to take 25 months, with completion by December 31, 2027. The operational period will span 23 years and 9 months.
