VinFast’s Upcoming Models Spark Creative Frenzy: ‘If Real Cars Match Renderings, They’ll Be Mistaken for Rolls-Royce on the Streets’

While VinFast has yet to release any official details, the automotive enthusiast community has eagerly stepped in, crafting luxurious renderings that rival those of high-end luxury brands. These imaginative designs have sparked lively discussions across social media platforms.

According to the November 2025 Industrial Property Gazette, VinFast has filed design patents for three entirely new vehicle models. Based on the registration drawings, the first is a large SUV featuring a shield-shaped grille, an elongated body, and a commanding stance reminiscent of European styling. The second model is a sedan with a coupe-like roofline and a sleek profile, marking a rare move since the Lux A2.0 era and potentially signaling the return of a premium sedan line. The third model appears to be a fully electric SUV, characterized by a sealed front end—a common design feature in next-generation electric vehicles.

These designs bear the signatures of renowned international designers, including Jae Hoon Lee (New Zealand), Dimitri Vicedomini, and Roberto Michele Piatti (Italy). However, filing design patents does not guarantee these models will enter mass production. Automakers often register experimental designs to secure intellectual property rights before deciding which models to bring to market.

Meanwhile, the online community has swiftly transformed the design sketches into detailed 3D renderings. From the large SUV to the coupe-style sedan, all have been “elevated” with luxurious details such as massive grilles, extensive chrome accents, limousine-inspired elongated bodies, dark paint finishes, and large alloy wheels. Many renderings evoke the design language of Rolls-Royce or Maybach, suggesting VinFast may be aiming for a true entry into the luxury vehicle segment.

These renderings have quickly garnered significant attention and comments. Many believe Vietnam lacks domestically produced luxury vehicles, and if VinFast pursues this direction, the domestic premium car market could become much more vibrant. Others humorously remark, “If the real car looks like the renderings, it might be mistaken for a Rolls-Royce on the road.”

However, many factors remain uncertain. Details such as commercial names, chassis platforms, engines, features, and launch timelines have yet to be announced by VinFast. The gap between design sketches and commercial products can be substantial, especially as the company restructures its global product portfolio. Nonetheless, the registration of these new designs demonstrates VinFast’s continued investment in product development and raises expectations for a more diverse and upscale future lineup.
