VPBank Secures Prestigious Double Awards

On December 3, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank; HoSE: VPB) proudly received a double victory at the 2025 Vietnam Listed Company Awards (VLCA). Notably, VPBank was the only bank to win in two categories at this prestigious event in 2025.

After a six-month voting process, surpassing 122 companies and a rigorous evaluation, VPBank was honored in the “Top 10 Best Annual Reports – Finance Sector.” Remarkably, in its first year of publishing an independent Sustainability Report, the bank swiftly impressed the judging panel, securing the “Third Prize for Sustainability Report – Finance Sector.”

This double award recognizes VPBank’s relentless efforts in transparency, elevating governance standards, and pioneering sustainable development strategies in Vietnam.

Over the years, VPBank’s Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports have continuously improved in both content and design. Information is meticulously curated, scientifically structured, and fully compliant with disclosure requirements, while maintaining a professional and refined presentation for easy comprehension. These reports adhere to domestic regulations and align with the latest standards from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS).

Under the motto “Sustainable Prosperity,” the reports underscore VPBank’s commitment to exceptional growth, coupled with a long-term strategy to maximize benefits for shareholders, customers, and the community. They provide a comprehensive overview of business performance, strategies, long-term goals, corporate governance, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.

Launched in 2008, VLCA is a prestigious award series for listed companies, jointly organized by HoSE, HNX, and the Finance & Investment Newspaper, with exclusive sponsorship from Dragon Capital. Increasingly regarded as a “soft benchmark” and vital reference, VLCA positively challenges companies to enhance report quality, standardize governance, and integrate sustainability into long-term strategies.

For the Annual Report category, results are evaluated through a multi-tiered process involving the Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD), Big4 auditing firms (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC), and final adjudication by HoSE and HNX.

In the Sustainability Report category, reports are scored by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) using international criteria based on GRI and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS S1, S2 by ISSB). In 2025, the Sustainability Report award adopted new evaluation criteria to enhance internationalization and align with Vietnam’s reporting context.

Elevating Governance, Driving Sustainable Prosperity

At VPBank, corporate governance transcends legal compliance, becoming a strategic foundation for stability and sustainable growth. The bank proactively develops a modern, transparent governance system, operating under the principle of “Beyond Compliance,” where decisions prioritize prudence, integrity, and harmonized stakeholder interests.

Alongside the Annual and Sustainability Report awards, 2025 marks VPBank’s seventh consecutive year in the Top 20 companies with the highest ESG scores in the VNSI (Vietnam Sustainability Index). The bank’s ESG score significantly improved from last year, surpassing industry averages in environmental, governance, and social dimensions.

Globally, VPBank ranked among the Top 5 Vietnamese companies in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), honored at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Awards in Malaysia and the conference on Resolution 68-NQ/TW in Hanoi.

In sustainable development, VPBank made history as Vietnam’s first bank to successfully issue $300 million in international sustainable bonds. This milestone underscores the bank’s global reputation and commitment to aligning corporate and community interests, paving the way for long-term growth that balances economic, environmental, and social prosperity.
