As a routine, following nine months of achieving over 200% of its profit targets, Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (Cà Mau Fertilizer or Cà Mau Urea, HOSE: DCM) has announced an adjustment to its 2025 business plan, along with the release of key performance indicators for 2026.

Specifically, according to the resolution dated December 5, DCM adjusted its 2025 business plan, significantly raising most of its targets.

In terms of output, the company increased urea production from 910 thousand to 942 thousand tons, while functional nitrogen decreased from 120 thousand to 105 thousand tons. Urea sales volume rose from 759 thousand to 800 thousand tons, and functional nitrogen sales dropped from 120 thousand to 105 thousand tons.

Financial targets were also revised. Total revenue was raised to nearly VND 15.9 trillion, a 13% increase from the previous plan. After-tax profit was adjusted upward to VND 1,448 billion, an 87% surge.

This isn’t a new trend for DCM, as the company often sets conservative targets at its annual shareholder meetings and later adjusts them based on actual performance. In the first nine months of the year, the fertilizer giant achieved over VND 12.4 trillion in revenue, a 35% increase, and a net profit of over VND 1.5 trillion, up 45%. These results equate to 89% of the revenue target and 200% of the after-tax profit plan under the old scheme. With the newly announced plan, DCM still met its nine-month targets but now exceeds its annual profit goal by only 5% and has achieved just 78% of its revenue target.

The company also revised its investment targets. Total capital investment needs were reduced by 35% to VND 498 billion, allocated for construction and asset purchases. Of this, VND 250 billion comes from equity, with the remainder financed through loans.

Alongside the 2025 plan adjustments, DCM unveiled its 2026 targets, maintaining its conservative strategy. Revenue is projected at over VND 17.6 trillion, an 11% increase from the revised 2025 plan, while after-tax profit is targeted at VND 1,182 billion, down 18%.
