Recently, Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Hải, Vice Chairman of the Lâm Đồng Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to gather updates on the groundbreaking plan for the Tân Phú – Bảo Lộc Expressway, as reported by Lâm Đồng Newspaper.

The Tân Phú (Đồng Nai) – Bảo Lộc (Lâm Đồng) Expressway project was approved by the Lâm Đồng Provincial People’s Committee in June 2025. Classified as a Group A project, this highway meets Grade I road standards with a design speed of 80 km/h and will be implemented through a public-private partnership (PPP). The route spans approximately 66 km, with about 12 km in Đồng Nai and nearly 54 km in Lâm Đồng.

On December 1, the Project Management Unit No. 1 selected Sơn Hải Group Co., Ltd. as the investor for the Tân Phú – Bảo Lộc Expressway project. With a total investment of 14,475 billion VND, construction is expected to take 25 months, completing by December 31, 2027, and will operate under a tolling period of 23 years and 9 months.

Following their selection as the project investor, Sơn Hải Group shared the news on their fanpage, expressing their commitment to making this one of the most beautiful highways in the Southeast and Central Highlands regions.

From December 3 to 9, the parties will engage in negotiations and contract discussions. On December 10, the contract signing ceremony will take place at the Lâm Đồng Provincial People’s Committee Office.

The Project Management Unit No. 1 has prepared the essential conditions for the groundbreaking ceremony. The chosen location is at the intersection of the expressway with Provincial Road 721 in Đạ Huoai Commune, Lâm Đồng Province. This site offers convenient access and is public land managed by local authorities, with boundary markers already in place and land clearance completed.

Currently, the Project Management Unit No. 1 has requested the design consultant to conduct surveys and prepare technical design documents for the intersection with Provincial Road 721. The Unit has also drafted a plan for the groundbreaking ceremony, which will be submitted to the Provincial People’s Committee for approval and implementation by relevant departments and agencies.

During the meeting, leaders from various departments and localities reported and proposed that the Provincial People’s Committee assign units and localities to finalize documents, procedures, and land clearance for the groundbreaking ceremony.

Relevant units will develop plans to ensure security, order, and safety throughout the event.

According to Vice Chairman Nguyễn Hồng Hải, the Tân Phú – Bảo Lộc Expressway is a key national project of significant importance to Lâm Đồng Province and the entire country.

The expressway is expected to drive new development for Lâm Đồng, Đồng Nai, and the surrounding areas. By traversing the mountainous region of South Central Highlands, the highway will not only reduce travel distances but also create a transformative shift in regional connectivity. Specifically, it will cut travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Đà Lạt from approximately 7 hours to just 3–3.5 hours. Additionally, the project will enhance the Dầu Giây – Liên Khương Expressway axis, improving connectivity with major southern economic hubs.
