During the fourth episode of the “A.I. Battlefield” competition, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized that the products presented in this round showcased the teams’ practical capabilities. “With additional data and time, these initiatives could achieve greater depth and applicability. Importantly, the teams demonstrated strong work ethics and effectively utilized AI tools to solve problems, not only within the competition but also in real-world scenarios.”
From a technology expert’s perspective, Mr. Tuan outlined four essential steps to effectively solve an AI problem: data collection, data analysis, solution proposal, and report finalization. The first two steps are critical, as they determine the solution’s quality and final outcome. “AI enables us to conduct in-depth data analysis, identifying blind spots that humans might overlook. This allows businesses to develop comprehensive solutions and make more accurate decisions for their operations,” he added.
Enhancing AI Application Capabilities in Key Sectors
A recent report by AWS–Strand Partners 2025 reveals that AI adoption in Vietnamese businesses is growing at 39% annually. Nearly 170,000 businesses in Vietnam have implemented AI, with 77% expecting it to boost revenue within the next year. As a result, technology has become a catalyst for overall business growth. “Businesses that embrace a practical mindset and proactively manage data in this rapidly evolving AI era will undoubtedly gain the upper hand and dominate the market,” Mr. Tuan stated.
As the exclusive sponsor and co-organizer of the ‘A.I. Battlefield’ competition, Techcombank not only provides financial support but also facilitates the realization of AI development and application goals in line with national directives. Within Techcombank and the One Mount Group & Masterise Group ecosystem, “AI is not limited to engineers or data specialists. We encourage all employees to learn and integrate technology into their daily tasks, as innovative thinking is crucial in the AI era,” Mr. Tuan affirmed.
The “A.I. Battlefield” competition offers a nationwide opportunity to engage with real-world challenges. It serves as a foundation for building AI application capabilities in key sectors such as finance, education, healthcare, and commerce. This initiative contributes to Vietnam’s digital transformation goals, positioning the country as a regional hub for innovation and data, while fostering AI talent and promoting ‘Made in Vietnam’ solutions.
Investing in Vietnam’s AI Talent is a Top Priority for the Bank
In addition to the “Miracle Award” announced by Techcombank—a $1 million international AI scholarship for the winning team—Techcombank and its ecosystem reaffirm that “talent” is one of their three core pillars. “As Vietnam’s leading technology-driven ecosystem, we have faith in the creativity, ambition, and learning capabilities of Vietnamese people. The younger generation now has unparalleled access to global knowledge and trends, enabling them to master new technologies. We are committed to supporting them on this journey,” Mr. Tuan emphasized.
Under the guidance of the Ministry of Public Security, the “A.I. Battlefield” competition is jointly organized by the National Data Center, National Data Association, Vietnam Television, and Techcombank. It is the first national AI competition broadcast on Vietnamese television. The competition is part of a broader effort to establish Vietnam as a regional AI innovation hub by identifying and nurturing young talent, fostering the ‘Make in Vietnam’ spirit, and ensuring AI is mastered and applied by Vietnamese people to solve local challenges. Investing in young talent and tech startups is not just about technology—it’s about shaping the nation’s future in the digital age.
