With a commitment to delivering high-quality sports content to viewers nationwide, FPT Play, a subsidiary of FPT Telecom, has officially secured the broadcasting and media rights for the English Premier League in Vietnam, starting from January 1, 2026. This agreement spans from the mid-season of 2025/2026 to the end of the 2030/31 season, covering various platforms including terrestrial television, cable, satellite, IPTV, internet, mobile, public screening rights, and social media exploitation.
This development ensures that Vietnamese fans of the Premier League can continue to join 1.87 billion viewers worldwide in uninterrupted enjoyment of thousands of top-tier football matches. This includes nearly 200 matches in the 2025/26 season and 1,900 matches across the five seasons from 2026/27 to 2030/31. All matches will be broadcast on multiple platforms by FPT Play, featuring professional Vietnamese commentary. Many matches will also be produced in stunning 4K quality.
To secure this rights deal, FPT Play has formed a strategic partnership with Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) and Monomax, the official and exclusive rights holders for the Premier League in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. This milestone marks a significant expansion for JAS and Monomax into the Vietnamese market.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Hoàng Việt Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom, FPT Corporation, stated: “The Premier League is one of the few football tournaments that has had a long-standing and profound influence in Vietnam. As a leader in the television services industry, with our robust broadcasting infrastructure and advanced technology, FPT Play will usher in a new era of Premier League viewing, making it more accessible and personalized for every Vietnamese fan. For us, the customer is always at the heart of every action!”
Notably, FPT Play’s acquisition of the Premier League rights follows Chelsea FC’s announcement of a global partnership with FPT Corporation in April 2025. Mr. Hoàng Việt Anh noted that both events leave distinct marks in different areas of FPT Corporation’s operations (digital transformation technology and broadcasting rights). Together, they create a comprehensive and complementary impact, bringing FPT Play closer to customers nationwide.
To enhance viewer experience, FPT Play has planned to introduce new features alongside existing ones like Live Chat, emotion reactions, and multi-stream comments. The platform aims to upgrade personalized features for fans of specific teams. For instance, after setting a favorite club, users’ names on Live Chat will display alongside their team’s badge. This not only allows fans to showcase their team pride but also facilitates community connections during live matches. Additionally, FPT Play plans to introduce a Jump Back feature, enabling users to easily revisit and rewatch memorable moments they might have missed, adding convenience to the viewing experience.
In terms of content, FPT Play plans to launch diverse accompanying programs featuring top commentators and personalities associated with elite football. The platform will continue producing news bulletins, roundtable discussions, and more, involving renowned experts, commentators, players, and journalists, including young talents and fans. These programs will not only provide the latest updates and insightful analyses of matches but also ensure content resonates with viewers nationwide.
Alongside securing the broadcasting rights, the Premier League service package has been officially launched, making the tournament more accessible at a reasonable cost for every Vietnamese household.
Customers can subscribe to the new package online via the FPT Play app or website. FPT Play is offering an early bird special for VVIP 1 and VVIP 2 packages at just 100,000 VND/month, a significant saving compared to the official price starting from January 1, 2026.
Especially, customers subscribing to the Premier League Combo—which includes high-speed FPT Internet and the Premier League on FPT Play—can enjoy the tournament at a discounted rate of just 59,000 VND/month for new registrations or upgrades. This Combo offers a “2-in-1” convenience, allowing customers to fully enjoy the tournament while experiencing high-speed internet up to 10Gbps, ensuring seamless connectivity.
In December 2025, customers who register or upgrade to the Premier League Combo will receive an additional month of free Premier League viewing (starting from January 1, 2026). They will also have a chance to win a pair of tickets to watch the tournament live in the UK on April 30, 2026.
