According to the General Statistics Office, trade and service activities in November remained stable, with the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue estimated to be equivalent to the previous month and up by 7.1% compared to the same period last year. For the first 11 months of 2025, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 9.1% year-on-year. Notably, accommodation and food service revenue rose by 14.6%, and travel service revenue surged by 19.9%, reflecting the success of consumer stimulus initiatives and enhanced tourism promotion policies.
The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November 2025, at current prices, is estimated at VND 601.2 trillion, a 7.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Within this, revenue from household goods, tools, and equipment grew by 13.6% due to increased seasonal shopping and replacement of items damaged by floods; apparel sales rose by 9.2%; food and beverage sales increased by 7%; accommodation and food services grew by 13.6%; and travel services increased by 19.1%.
For the first 11 months of 2025, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue, at current prices, is estimated at VND 6,377.7 trillion, a 9.1% increase compared to the same period last year (8.9% in 2024). Excluding price factors, the growth rate stands at 6.8% (5.8% in 2024).

Retail sales of goods for the first 11 months of 2025 are estimated at VND 4,859 trillion, accounting for 76.2% of the total and increasing by 7.9% year-on-year. Key categories include food and beverages, up by 9.6%; apparel, up by 8.5%; household goods, tools, and equipment, up by 7.8%; and cultural and educational items, up by 5.1%. Regional growth highlights include An Giang (9.9%), Dong Nai (7.9%), Ninh Binh (7.7%), Nghe An (7.4%), and Thanh Hoa (7.1%).
Accommodation and food service revenue for the first 11 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 767.8 trillion, accounting for 12% of the total and increasing by 14.6% year-on-year. Regional growth highlights include Ho Chi Minh City (17.3%), Da Nang (15.8%), Hanoi (13.4%), Can Tho (12.2%), and Hai Phong (11.6%).
Travel service revenue for the first 11 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 85.4 trillion, accounting for 1.4% of the total and increasing by 19.9% year-on-year, driven by early-year tourism stimulus programs and diversified travel products. Regional growth highlights include Hanoi (23.4%), Ho Chi Minh City (22.3%), Quang Ninh (18.2%), Vinh Long (14.1%), and Da Nang (13.2%).
Other service revenue for the first 11 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 665.5 trillion, accounting for 10.4% of the total and increasing by 11.2% year-on-year. Regional growth highlights include Hai Phong (16.2%), Vinh Long (14.6%), Quang Ninh (11.9%), Ca Mau (11.5%), Ha Tinh (10.9%), Ho Chi Minh City (10.7%), and Hanoi (8.2%).

Retail sales and consumer service revenue for the month are estimated to have risen slightly by 0.2% compared to September, and increased by 7.2% year-on-year. Over the first ten months of 2025, total retail sales and consumer service revenue grew by 9.3% compared to the same period last year.
