Hồng Nhung II is a well-known pet bird shop in Ho Chi Minh City, frequently featured by YouTubers and attracting many bird enthusiasts.
However, to comply with regulations, pet bird species must have legal documentation proving their origin and ensuring they are not endangered or illegally sourced.
The seized birds without proper documentation will be transferred to the Mobile Forest Protection Team and Forest Fire Prevention Unit No. 1 (Base 2 in An Nhơn Tây Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) for care and further processing according to regulations.
Prior to this inspection, Ho Chi Minh City’s forest protection authorities have handled several similar cases to combat illegal activities related to wildlife protection and fisheries resource management in Vietnam, in line with central directives and guidance from the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
