The Standing Committee comprises four members: Chairman Le Hoang Chau, Standing Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Saigon Northwest Real Estate Association Giang Quoc Dung, Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Saigon Southeast Real Estate Association Bach Van Luong, and Vice-Chairwoman and Secretary-General Luu Thi Thanh Mau.
Regarding the real estate market, Chairman Chau noted that over the past five years, the market has faced numerous challenges due to various factors. The bottom of the Ho Chi Minh City residential real estate market occurred in Q1 2023, with a 16.2% decline, but it has gradually recovered since the end of Q2 2023 and continues to show growth.
Ho Chi Minh City aims to become a global city and establish an International Financial Center with a portfolio of 309 investment projects. Chairman Chau emphasized that this presents both an opportunity and a responsibility for real estate corporations and businesses to invest and contribute to the city’s development.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Tong Thi Hanh, Director of the Housing and Real Estate Market Management Department under the Ministry of Construction, expressed hope that the merger of associations would create a stronger entity, enhancing its role in social criticism and providing feedback to the Ministry of Construction and the People’s Committee. The new association is also expected to organize policy communication for member businesses, offer timely recommendations to regulate the real estate market, serve as an effective bridge between businesses and government agencies, and protect the legal rights and interests of real estate enterprises.
Additionally, on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Ms. Hanh encouraged real estate businesses to overcome challenges and collaborate with the Ministry and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee in developing social housing and renovating old apartments with full amenities and green standards.
