The Guangzhou International Auto Show (Auto Guangzhou), dubbed the “Wind Beneath the Automotive Industry’s Wings,” is a pivotal year-end event where brands unveil strategies and flagship models that shape the market for the coming year.

Auto Guangzhou 2025 marked a significant shift towards Electrification and Intelligentization, with a record-breaking 629 out of 1,085 displayed vehicles being New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). The focus has now shifted to advanced smart cockpit solutions and high-level autonomous driving, showcasing unprecedented technological prowess and irreversible trends.

One of the standout highlights at this year’s Guangzhou International Auto Show was the Lynk & Co booth (a joint venture between Geely Group and Volvo Cars), featuring the new “The Next Day” design language and the impressive “New Premium” lifestyle and technology.

The brand showcased a rare, comprehensive product lineup, demonstrating robust R&D capabilities with flagship models like Lynk & Co 01, 03, 05, and 06. Additionally, representatives of the new energy era, such as the 08 EM-P, Z20 Red Edition, and the future flagship Lynk & Co 900, highlighted significant technological maturity. The diverse powertrain options, including gasoline, Hybrid (EM-P), and Pure Electric, cater to varied market demands, positioning Lynk & Co as a pioneer in emerging trends.

Lynk & Co 900: The Essence of “The Next Day”

Making a striking appearance at this year’s show, the latest flagship SUV, Lynk & Co 900, embodies the pinnacle of maturity and the spirit of “The Next Day.” With its full-size luxury SUV dimensions (5,240 mm in length and a 3,160 mm wheelbase) and advanced Plug-in Hybrid EM-P powertrain, the Lynk & Co 900 targets the premium segment and family audiences:

“When entering a new market with a full-size SUV, we clearly targeted families. Our design team positioned the vehicle to cater to every family member—from drivers and children to all generations—ensuring everyone feels comfortable and welcomed aboard. Thus, the design language of the Lynk & Co 900 became more serene, refined, and pure. Simultaneously, the ‘The Next Day’ philosophy is a declaration elevating the brand to the premium segment, and in my view, no vehicle embodies this better than the Lynk & Co 900,” shared Stefan Rosén, Design Director of Lynk & Co.

Lynk & Co 08 EM-P: Bridging ‘New Premium’ Inspiration to Vietnam

While the Lynk & Co 900 represents the vision, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P—a newcomer showcased at the event and recently launched in Vietnam—embodies the vibrant and accessible present.

This SUV fully inherits the new-generation DNA with the “The Next Day” design language, highlighted by unique features like “divine eye” headlights, full-width side mirrors, and frameless four-door windows. The interior blends technology with modern minimalism, featuring a large 15.4-inch entertainment screen, a powerful Snapdragon 8155 chip, and a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system for an immersive audio experience. Premium amenities like Face ID and heated/massaging seats further enhance the experience.

The core highlight is the advanced EM-P Hybrid technology, combining a 1.5T Turbo engine with two electric motors to deliver a robust 345 horsepower (0-100 km/h in 6.75 seconds). The unique 3-speed DHT Evo gearbox ensures seamless mode switching and optimal fuel efficiency. Notably, the vehicle eliminates range anxiety with an impressive 200 km pure electric range (WLTC) and a total range of up to 1,400 km.

Safety is paramount with the ultra-rigid CMA Evo chassis (75% high-strength steel) and a high-level ADAS system using the Antora 1000Pro AI chip and over 20 cameras/sensors, earning a Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating. The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P underscores global quality and a commitment to leading new energy vehicle trends.

Additionally, the Z20 Red Edition, a new all-electric model developed on the SEA2 platform with a Cabernet red leather interior, also drew significant attention. This model showcases Lynk & Co’s focus on personalization and premium quality across all segments.

With its sleek design, soft yet contemporary lines, a modern minimalist interior, and a powerful 250 kW powertrain, the Z20 embodies the spirit of a global new energy vehicle: dynamic, intelligent, and future-oriented.

Nearly a decade ago, Lynk & Co began its journey with the bold “Urban Contrast” design language, appealing to young individuals who value uniqueness and technology. However, at Auto Guangzhou 2025, with the “The Next Day” philosophy, Lynk & Co presents a more mature, premium brand image, targeting a higher segment beyond compact vehicles for young audiences.

This transformation goes beyond logo or design changes; it’s a declaration of a mature ecosystem ready to redefine new premium standards.

Now, Vietnamese customers will have access to a wide range of products (from sedans to SUVs) and diverse powertrains, meeting various personal and family needs. Owning a Lynk & Co vehicle isn’t just about having a car; it’s about embracing a lifestyle shaped by global sophistication and future technology.
