This morning (December 10), at the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade, the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward initiated the second phase of compensation payments for residents eligible under the resettlement, support, and land clearance scheme for the Square and Park Development Project in the TOD area east of Hoan Kiem Lake.
The list of recipients for this morning includes 12 households on Ly Thai To Street.
Residents affected by the land clearance for the East Hoan Kiem Lake Square project are processing their compensation, support, and resettlement claims.
Ward officials and bank staff are guiding residents through the compensation and resettlement procedures.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, residing at 24 Ly Thai To (Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi), is one of the residents receiving the second phase of compensation for the project. “Today, I visited the bank to complete the compensation and support procedures. The project management team from Hoan Kiem Ward and bank staff provided thorough guidance, making the process smooth, transparent, and clear. From the initial measurements and assessments, everything was conducted clearly, ensuring a seamless process. I fully support this,” Mr. Hai stated.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai receives his compensation and resettlement support after completing the necessary procedures. He plans to use the funds to build a new home in the resettlement area, stabilizing his family’s life.
Mr. Tran Van Trung, a resident of Ly Thai To Street (Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi), expressed his family’s full agreement with the government’s policies. “I agree with the compensation plan, which includes resettlement land and cash support as per regulations. Over time, the project management team from Hoan Kiem Ward has addressed all our concerns, leading to unanimous agreement among residents. My family has deep roots in this area, and leaving is bittersweet; however, the compensation and clearance plan meets our expectations, so I fully support it,” Mr. Trung shared.
