Shocking Progress at Sun Group’s Largest Urban Complex in Vung Tau: Over 4,000 Workers On-Site, Southern Vietnam’s Biggest Water Park Nearing Launch, Townhouse Prices Surpass 200 Million VND/m²

After just six months of construction, Blanca City has undergone a remarkable transformation, thanks to the tireless efforts of over 4,000 dedicated workers operating around the clock. Several major developments are set to open ahead of schedule, while property prices for townhouses and villas surrounding the project continue to rise steadily.

Following the merger, the former Vung Tau witnessed a significant influx of capital into its infrastructure and coastal urban development. The centerpiece is Blanca City, a project by Sun Group located in Phuoc Thang Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), spanning nearly 96 hectares with a total investment of approximately 37 trillion VND. It stands as one of the largest ongoing projects in the region.

The project is situated along 3/2 Street, just a 5-minute drive from the city center and close to major beaches. Its prime location boasts dual frontage—coastal and urban—with quick access to Bai Sau, Bai Truoc, and the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway, making it an attractive destination for residents and weekend tourists alike.

Remarkably, despite only being under construction for six months, the project has seen an astonishing pace of development: 96 hectares are being simultaneously worked on by 48 contractors, over 4,000 engineers and workers, and 120 types of machinery, operating in 3 shifts and 4 teams daily. Many infrastructure components have already completed their foundation work.

Notably, the 15-hectare Sun World Vung Tau water park—the largest in the Southern region—is a highlight of the project, featuring over 20 modern attractions. Standouts include the world’s first 10-lane water slide race, a 348-meter water-based roller coaster, and a nearly 6,000 m² dual wave pool.

An engineer overseeing this area noted, “The water park alone employs over 1,500 personnel daily. At the current pace, the park is expected to open in February next year, two months ahead of the original schedule.”

Additionally, Blanca City offers a diverse ecosystem of over 3,000 properties, including high-rise apartments, shophouses, townhouses, semi-detached and detached villas, grand villas, hotels, and condotels. This comprehensive range caters to residential, leisure, and tourism business needs.

Among these, detached villas, townhouses, and grand villas have garnered significant interest. A project broker shared, “Since Blanca City’s groundbreaking, property values in neighboring areas have risen; for instance, a nearby project saw villa prices increase from approximately 80 million VND/m² to around 110 million VND/m². A townhouse at Blanca City, with over 180 m² of land and a basement, is now listed between 43–45 billion VND, equivalent to 238–250 million VND/m².”

On-site observations reveal continuous operations. Trucks, pile drivers, and concrete pumps are in constant use, and several internal roads have completed their initial technical infrastructure layers.

Some apartment blocks have begun formwork installation. Engineers are stationed at each construction site, and workers, equipped with full safety gear, are working tirelessly to ensure both progress and safety.

The water park has completed its entire layout and core structures and is now preparing for the installation of landscaping and final technical components.
