Journey of Gratitude: Exploring the Future of Phu Quoc

The first leg of the journey, from December 5th to 7th, began with an experience aboard Vietnam’s newest airline, Sun PhuQuoc Airways—the “ace” in the connectivity infrastructure to the pearl island. This latest addition to Sun Group’s world-class tourism ecosystem offers a seamless experience from land to sky. Coupled with 5-star hospitality standards, guests were accommodated at La Festa Phu Quoc and Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, both offering internationally acclaimed services.

Upon arrival, the group visited a key project under construction by Sun Group in preparation for APEC 2027—a significant milestone propelling Phu Quoc onto the international stage. The APEC Conference Center, spanning 16.06 hectares with a total investment of 21.86 trillion VND, is a testament to this vision. Less than six months into construction, two main components—the conference center and the multipurpose theater—have reached 33% completion. The steel structure is expected to be finished by January 31, 2026, with exterior completion by June 30, 2026, and interior completion by January 31, 2027.

The bustling workforce, impressive construction scale, and meticulous planning left a strong impression on the guests. Many were surprised by the “Sun Group pace” and the grandeur of the mega-project. Ms. Minh Anh, an investor from Hanoi, shared: “From the moment I landed in Phu Quoc, I felt the island’s vibrant development pulse—from the airport expansion and major road projects to the large-scale constructions being implemented in unison, all gearing up for a new phase of tourism and real estate growth in Phu Quoc.”

The journey continued at Sunset Town, one of Phu Quoc’s most captivating destinations. Against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset, the Sunset Bridge mesmerized, complemented by the Awaken Sea show, creating a deeply emotional moment. Guests also savored exquisite cuisine at Sun Bavaria GastroPub and witnessed the Symphony of the Sea, a fusion of technology, nature, and art. The vibrant night concluded with a visit to the VUI-Fest night market, where local life intersects with the tourism flow.

At Hòn Thơm, dubbed the “new paradise for leisure and entertainment” in Phu Quoc, guests explored stunning natural landscapes and experienced newly launched products and services. The tourism projects at Hòn Thơm embody a sustainable development philosophy, harmonizing human life with nature, promising a new surge for Phu Quoc in the near future.

A highlight of this year’s gratitude event was the Customer Conference held on December 6th at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Ballroom. Here, guests watched a film showcasing Sun Group’s development journey in Vietnam, beginning with the vision to “beautify lands” and continuing with iconic projects. Phu Quoc stands out as one of the brightest highlights in this narrative.

Addressing the event, a Sun Group representative emphasized: “Phu Quoc is more than a tourist destination; it’s a hub for a comprehensive ecosystem integrating leisure tourism, entertainment, high-end real estate, and infrastructure in transportation, healthcare, and education. Each project is part of a meticulously planned blueprint, aiming to transform Phu Quoc into the ‘second Singapore of Asia’—a regional center for trade, leisure, and events, especially with APEC 2027 on the horizon.”

The presentation of new projects in Phu Quoc offered a comprehensive view of the potential for real estate value growth, particularly in the southern part of the island.
