Closing the trading session last night and early this morning on December 10th (Vietnam time), the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange rose by $10-$17 per ton, while Arabica on the New York exchange increased by 0.7%-0.94%.
Coffee Prices Rebound
The January 2026 Robusta futures contract settled at $4,228, up $10 per ton.
Although the increase was modest, the consistent green trend throughout the session eased concerns for coffee holders.
The March 2026 Arabica futures contract closed at $8,130 per ton, a $60 increase.
Today’s domestic coffee prices are expected to rise slightly from the average of 101,000 VND/kg before the London session began.

Coffee prices have halted their decline
Influencing Factors
Coffee prices reversed their downward trend after the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) revised Brazil’s 2025-2026 coffee production forecast to 63 million bags (3.78 million tons), a 2.62% decrease from the previous season.
The USDA also predicts a 9.75% drop in Brazil’s coffee exports for this season, to 2.22 million tons. In November 2025, Brazil’s coffee exports fell to 212,400 tons, a 26% decline year-over-year.
However, the EU’s one-year delay in implementing the Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR) allows European countries to continue importing agricultural products from regions in Africa, Indonesia, and South America, where deforestation persists. This has prevented coffee prices from rising in EUDR-compliant areas.
Despite this, the USDA forecasts a record-breaking 4.242 million tons for Brazil’s 2026-2027 coffee harvest, ensuring ample long-term supply and tempering price volatility.
