Accelerated Infrastructure: A New Impulse for Vung Tau

The Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway construction site is buzzing with activity as 11 contractors work round-the-clock in three shifts to ensure technical completion by December 19, 2025. Spanning 53.7 km, this route will slash travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Bai Sau Beach to just 45–60 minutes, creating a direct link between two major economic and tourism hubs.

The Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway, set to open on December 19, will reduce travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Bai Sau Beach to 45–60 minutes.

In aviation, nearly 14,000 engineers and workers are racing to complete Long Thanh International Airport in time for its first technical flight in December 2025, with commercial operations slated for 2026. The Ministry of Construction has announced Phase 2, including a new runway and a 25 million passenger/year terminal with an investment of approximately VND 48 trillion, to meet surging transport demand.

Alongside these key routes, inter-regional connectivity projects are accelerating to complete the region’s transportation network. The Binh Thuan – Vung Tau coastal road, expected to open in 2026, will create a seamless coastal tourism corridor from Phan Thiet – Ke Ga – Ho Tram to Bai Sau, enhancing connectivity among resorts and facilitating coastal travel.

Long Thanh Airport, operational from 2026, will position Vung Tau as a hub for international tourists.

Additionally, the 19 km Can Gio – Vung Tau sea bridge, under PPP investment, will provide a direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau, significantly reducing pressure on National Highway 51.

Under Ho Chi Minh City’s urban rail plan, the “Asian megacity” will prioritize nine metro lines totaling 374 km and $37 billion, including a connection to Vung Tau. A light rail link between the cities is also under study by Sun Group.

Maritime infrastructure is advancing too, with Vung Tau’s international passenger port approved. Featuring two 840-meter berths, it will accommodate cruise ships up to 225,000 GT, serving 1.39–1.5 million passengers annually.

The simultaneous acceleration of air, sea, road, and rail infrastructure is a powerful catalyst for Vung Tau, enhancing regional connectivity and expanding its tourism market. According to Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, Vietnam aims to join the top 30 countries in tourism competitiveness. This momentum will revive the tourism economy and boost hospitality real estate.

Accelerated air, sea, road, and rail infrastructure is expanding Vung Tau’s connectivity and reviving its tourism real estate.

“Cities and regions with quality, structured investments like Da Nang, Vung Tau, and Phu Quoc offer greater advantages, efficiency, and investor appeal. This drives rapid, sustainable value growth,” Dinh noted.

Blanca City: Vung Tau’s Prime Beneficiary of New Infrastructure

Amid this infrastructure upgrade, Blanca City by Sun Property (a Sun Group member) stands out as a prime beneficiary. Located in central Bai Sau, the 96.6 ha project boasts dual frontage: along 3/2 Street and nearly 1 km of beachfront. This strategic position ensures quick access to all regional transport hubs.

Once the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway opens, residents can reach Ho Chi Minh City in 60 minutes. Long Thanh Airport is just 30–40 minutes away, enabling access to both domestic and international tourists from 2026.

Blanca City by Sun Property is poised as the most direct beneficiary of Vung Tau’s new infrastructure wave.

Designed as an “all-in-one” coastal urban center, Blanca City integrates diverse amenities: beachfront malls, international hotels, schools, healthcare, and landscaped parks. The 15 ha Sun World Vung Tau Water Park, opening in February 2026, will further enhance regional entertainment, boosting tourist stays and spending.

The project features luxury apartments, seaside townhouses, and villas inspired by French, Portuguese, and Vietnamese aesthetics. The Blanca 6-7 towers are highlights, offering internationally managed apartments with dual sea views—ideal for vacation homes or hospitality services, especially with rising tourist demand from Ho Chi Minh City and abroad.

Many Ho Chi Minh City families now view Vung Tau as an ideal second-home destination. Nguyen Van Tan, a new Blanca City resident, shared: “When I heard Vung Tau might merge with Ho Chi Minh City, I saw an opportunity. With Long Thanh Airport and the expressway, Vung Tau will be easily accessible, so I bought a home for weekend family getaways.”

The convergence of critical infrastructure—expressways, airports, coastal roads, railways, seaports, and sea bridges—is shaping a new growth cycle for Vung Tau’s real estate market. With its central Bai Sau location and comprehensive ecosystem, Blanca City is a standout project poised to lead Vung Tau’s transformation.
