Accelerated Infrastructure: A New Impulse for Vung Tau
At the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway construction site, 11 contractors are working in three continuous shifts to ensure technical completion by December 19, 2025. This 53.7 km route will reduce travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Bai Sau to 45–60 minutes, creating a direct link between two major economic and tourism hubs.

In aviation, nearly 14,000 engineers and workers are racing to complete Long Thanh International Airport for its first technical flight in December 2025, ensuring commercial operations begin in 2026. The Ministry of Construction announced that Phase 2, including a new runway and a 25 million passenger/year terminal with a budget of VND 48 trillion, will be proposed for early implementation to meet rising transport demand.
Alongside these key routes, several inter-regional connectivity projects are being accelerated to complete the region’s transportation network. The Binh Thuan – Vung Tau coastal route, expected to open in 2026, will create a seamless coastal tourism corridor from Phan Thiet – Ke Ga – Ho Tram to Bai Sau, enhancing connectivity between resorts and facilitating coastal travel.

Additionally, the 19 km Can Gio – Vung Tau sea bridge, under PPP investment, will provide a direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau, significantly reducing pressure on National Highway 51.
Under Ho Chi Minh City’s urban rail plan, the “Asian megacity” will prioritize early investment in 9 metro lines totaling 374 km and $37 billion, including a connection to Vung Tau. A light rail link between Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau is also being proposed by Sun Group.
On the maritime front, the Vung Tau International Passenger Port has been approved, featuring two 840-meter berths capable of accommodating cruise ships up to 225,000 GT, serving 1.39 to 1.5 million passengers annually.
The accelerated development of air, sea, road, and rail infrastructure is driving Vung Tau’s regional connectivity and tourism market expansion. According to Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, Vietnam aims to join the top 30 countries in tourism competitiveness. This bodes well for tourism growth and the recovery of hospitality real estate.

“Cities and regions with high-quality, well-planned investments like Da Nang, Vung Tau, and Phu Quoc offer greater advantages and efficiency, naturally attracting investor interest. This drives rapid, sustainable value growth,” said Nguyen Van Dinh.
Blanca City: Vung Tau’s Prime Beneficiary of New Infrastructure
Amid the comprehensive infrastructure upgrade, Blanca City, developed by Sun Property (a Sun Group member), stands out as a prime beneficiary. Located in central Bai Sau, the 96.6 ha project boasts dual frontage: one along 3/2 Street and a nearly 1 km beachfront—a strategic position connected to all regional transport hubs.
Once the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway opens, Blanca City residents can reach Ho Chi Minh City in 60 minutes. The project is also 30–40 minutes from Long Thanh Airport, facilitating access to both domestic and international tourists from 2026.

Designed as an “all-in-one” coastal urban model, Blanca City integrates diverse amenities, including a beachfront commercial center, international hotels, schools, healthcare, and landscaped parks. The 15 ha Sun World Vung Tau Water Park, opening in February 2026, will enhance regional entertainment, boosting tourist stays and spending.
The project features luxury apartments, seaside townhouses, and villas with 3-4 stories, a basement, and a unique blend of French, Portuguese, and Vietnamese architectural styles. The Blanca 6-7 towers are highlights, offering fully furnished apartments with dual sea views, managed by an international brand. These units are ideal for leisure or hospitality, especially with rising tourist numbers from Ho Chi Minh City and abroad due to improved infrastructure.
Many Ho Chi Minh City families now view Vung Tau as an ideal second-home destination. Nguyen Van Tan, a new Blanca City resident, shared: “When I heard about Vung Tau’s integration into Ho Chi Minh City, I saw an opportunity. With Long Thanh Airport and the expressway, Vung Tau will be easily accessible, so I bought a property for weekend family getaways.”
The convergence of key infrastructure projects—expressways, airports, coastal routes, railways, seaports, and sea bridges—is shaping a new growth cycle for the Vung Tau – Ho Chi Minh City real estate market. With its central Bai Sau location and comprehensive ecosystem, Blanca City is a standout project capitalizing on this transformative infrastructure wave.
