The annual awards ceremony, hosted by Zee Media, India’s leading media conglomerate, saw the VinFast VF 7 emerge victorious in a highly competitive category. Designed by the renowned Torino Design studio, this electric vehicle (EV) embodies a unique design philosophy that captivated the judges.

According to the organizers, the award evaluates vehicles based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including aesthetics, aerodynamics, interior design innovation, and alignment with the global shift towards electrification.

The VF 7’s design philosophy, “Asymmetric Universe,” is evident in its sleek exterior. The sloping roofline, coupled with prominent body lines, creates a dynamic silhouette. The signature VinFast winged LED headlights, extending from the central logo, provide a distinctive visual signature, especially at night.

VinFast VF7 clinches two prestigious awards in the world’s most populous nation.

The VF 7’s interior prioritizes minimalism and technology. A 12.9-inch touchscreen integrates the instrument cluster and infotainment system, while a Head-Up Display (HUD) projects essential driving information onto the windshield. The flat-bottomed steering wheel and push-button gear selector optimize the central control area.

“This award is a testament to our team’s relentless pursuit of innovation,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia. “The VF 7 embodies VinFast’s commitment to delivering stylish and sustainable mobility solutions tailored for the Indian market.”

Rajiv Malik, Automotive Editor at Zee Media Publications, remarked, “The VF 7 sets a new benchmark for contemporary automotive design, showcasing harmonious proportions and meticulous craftsmanship. This recognition underscores VinFast’s vision of creating vehicles that seamlessly blend luxury and cutting-edge technology, meeting the evolving demands of consumers.”

VinFast introduced the VF 7 in Vietnam in two variants: Base and Plus. The Base model features a single electric motor delivering approximately 130 kW (174 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. The VF 7 Plus, equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) and dual electric motors, boasts a combined output of around 260 kW (349 hp) and 500 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.8 seconds. Both variants offer long-range batteries compliant with WLTP standards.

The VF 7’s success in India signifies VinFast’s growing competitiveness in the global automotive market.
