This milestone is not just the result of relentless effort but also a significant contribution to the nation’s ambitious goal of completing over 3,000 kilometers of highways nationwide. The Quảng Ngãi – Hoài Nhơn Expressway, with an investment of over 20.4 trillion VND, stretches 88 kilometers across Quảng Ngãi (60.3 km) and Gia Lai (27.7 km) provinces.
It stands as the largest among the 12 sub-projects of the North-South Expressway for the 2021–2025 period.
Contractors are currently finalizing road markings, signage installation, and surface cleaning along the route.
The expressway features 77 bridges, 586 culverts, and 81 pedestrian underpasses. The Sông Vệ Bridge in Đình Cương Commune, spanning 610 meters, is the project’s largest bridge structure.
The route includes three mountain tunnels totaling 4,500 meters, with Tunnel 3 at 3,200 meters being the longest on the North-South Expressway.
Tunnels 1 and 2 have completed equipment installation and are testing ventilation, lighting, public address systems, and fire safety mechanisms.
Tunnel 3, at 3,200 meters, houses 20 jet fans, 1,734 LED lights (40W–220W), and other systems undergoing final installation and cleaning.
Drawing on experience from previous complex projects, Deo Ca Group innovated the “Deo Ca NATM” tunneling method, reducing construction time by 8 months.
Connecting Đà Nẵng – Quảng Ngãi and Hoài Nhơn – Quy Nhơn Expressways, this route will alleviate pressure on National Highway 1 while fostering new economic corridors and unlocking regional growth potential nationwide.
