The Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway project spans 88 kilometers, traversing two provinces: Quang Ngai (60.3 km) and Gia Lai (27.7 km).
With a total investment of over 20.4 trillion VND, the project is managed by Project Management Unit No. 2 (under the Ministry of Construction) as the investor, and the consortium led by Deo Ca Group as the contractor. This is the largest among the 12 sub-projects of the North-South Expressway, Eastern section, for the 2021-2025 period.

Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway nearing completion
The project was officially launched by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on January 1, 2023.
After nearly three years of relentless effort, over 4,000 engineers, workers, and staff have transformed the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway into a silk ribbon weaving through rural landscapes, connecting key economic regions.
According to Deo Ca Group, the entire expressway construction is nearly complete, with contractors finalizing signage installation, road markings, and surface cleaning, ready for inauguration on December 19.

The expressway features 77 bridges, 586 culverts, and 81 underpasses. Notably, the Song Ve Bridge (in Dinh Cuong Commune) spans 610 meters, making it the project’s largest bridge.
Additionally, the route includes three mountain tunnels totaling 4,500 meters, with Tunnel No. 3 at 3,200 meters being the longest on the North-South Expressway.

Tunnel No. 3, measuring 3,200 meters, is equipped with 20 jet fans, 1,734 LED lights ranging from 40W to 220W, and other systems undergoing final installation and cleaning.
For the tunnel sections, Deo Ca Group leveraged lessons from previous complex projects, reducing construction time and helping the project finish eight months ahead of schedule.
The Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway, connecting the Da Nang – Quang Ngai Expressway at its starting point and the Hoai Nhon – Quy Nhon Expressway at its endpoint, will not only alleviate traffic pressure on National Highway 1 but also establish a new economic corridor, unlocking regional development potential and driving growth across the nation.
