This highly anticipated vehicle has been frequently spotted during road tests across India. Sharing its platform with the Renault Triber, it will become the second badge-engineered model within the Renault–Nissan alliance, following the Kiger–Magnite duo. With the launch date now confirmed, Nissan is poised to enter the compact MPV segment with a fresh brand identity and a more comprehensive feature set.

In terms of exterior design, despite heavy camouflage, previous test images reveal the MPV’s styling direction. It features a large hexagonal grille, new headlamp clusters, and C-shaped accents integrated into the front bumper, lending a modern and bold aesthetic. The vehicle also includes a roof rail and newly designed alloy wheels, visually distinguishing it from its Renault counterpart. Minor adjustments to the rear bumper and taillights are also expected.

While the interior remains undisclosed, the shared platform suggests a layout similar to the Triber. However, Nissan will introduce unique design elements to differentiate its offering. Expected features include a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, a cooled center storage compartment, and second-row seats with sliding and reclining functionality. The vehicle will also offer a flexible three-row seating configuration, accommodating 5, 6, or 7 passengers based on user needs.

Under the hood, the MPV will be powered by a naturally aspirated 1.0L, 3-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 72 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque. This engine, shared with the Almera but without turbocharging, will be paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Nissan is likely to fine-tune the engine and transmission for improved drivability while retaining the core mechanical platform from the Triber to ensure competitive pricing.

Scheduled for unveiling on December 18, the pricing is expected to be announced in early 2026. Nissan’s MPV is set to be a strong contender in the compact MPV segment, particularly if launched in Southeast Asia, where it will compete with established rivals like the Mitsubishi Xpander and Toyota Veloz.
