The name might come as a surprise, given that it has only been in the market for a mere year.

Over the past few years, the Vietnamese automotive market has witnessed the increasingly prominent entry of Chinese car brands. Beyond product offerings and pricing, the extent of their showroom presence has become a direct reflection of investment scale and commitment to the local market. Among Chinese brands, disparities in distribution networks are becoming more apparent.

According to company disclosures, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam currently boasts the largest showroom network among Chinese car brands in Vietnam, with approximately 40 operational dealerships just over a year after entering the market. This places Omoda & Jaecoo ahead of most other Chinese brands operating in the country.

For comparison, MG, the most prominent Chinese brand in Vietnam today, operates around 30 showrooms. Unofficial reports suggest BYD has opened approximately 36 showrooms.

Having entered the market only a year ago, Omoda & Jaecoo’s rapid showroom expansion not only underscores its ambitious growth plans but also demonstrates a willingness to invest in infrastructure from the outset, rather than focusing solely on short-term sales.

Notably, Omoda & Jaecoo’s showrooms are designed as integrated hubs, serving both as sales outlets and after-sales service centers.

Supported by two parts warehouses in Dong Nai and Hai Phong, this network aims to reduce component delivery times and ensure nationwide service coverage. Given Vietnamese consumers’ lingering reservations about Chinese vehicles, robust after-sales service and accessibility are critical to building long-term trust.

From a market perspective, a new brand’s ability to quickly attract numerous distribution partners signals confidence among domestic investors.

Building on its current foundation, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam aims to expand its dealership network to approximately 60 showrooms by 2026.

In 2026, Omoda & Jaecoo will officially launch 16 new products—an exceptionally high number compared to typical vehicle launch rates in Vietnam. The manufacturer is also accelerating construction of its Hung Yen factory, with plans to introduce domestically assembled models for enhanced competitiveness.
