As of the closing session last night and early this morning on December 16th (Vietnam time), Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange (UK) dropped by 1.89% to 2.13%, while Arabica prices on the New York exchange (US) fell by 1.94% to 2.43%.

Robusta Falls Below $4,000/Ton, Arabica Below $8,000/Ton

For the March 2026 reference contract, Robusta prices settled at $3,923/ton, down $76/ton, and Arabica prices at $7,940/ton, down $200/ton.

Domestic coffee prices today are expected to drop from the previous level of 97,200 VND/kg before the London session began. Earlier in the week, domestic coffee prices had already anticipated the decline, losing 2,000 VND/kg compared to the weekend without waiting for the reference prices from the exchange.

Some farmers are reluctantly selling off their old crop coffee, which they stored at 110,000 VND/kg during the harvest season, hoping to hold out for 135,000 VND/kg, but ultimately sold at 100,000 VND/kg, missing out on hundreds of millions of VND compared to the peak price.
