According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, many sections of sidewalks have deteriorated over the years, posing safety risks and detracting from urban aesthetics. As a result, functional units have initiated renovation projects, replacing old tiles and upgrading key sidewalk areas.

On Le Loi Street, workers are diligently removing old tiles to prepare for the installation of new stone paving. The project is being executed around the clock to ensure completion before the Lunar New Year.

This renovation project, spanning approximately 91 sidewalk sections, has a total budget exceeding 442 billion VND.

This initiative is part of Ho Chi Minh City’s efforts to enhance urban landscapes, improve pedestrian safety, and create a positive impression for residents and tourists ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations.

In several areas, new granite paving has been installed, significantly enhancing aesthetics and providing a more pedestrian-friendly environment.

At September 23 Park, heavy machinery is being used to remove old sidewalk layers.

Hydraulic hammers are employed to break up deteriorated concrete and stone, creating vibrations to efficiently separate materials.

Sidewalk demolition is underway across numerous streets in Ho Chi Minh City.

Granite, known for its durability, load-bearing capacity, and slip resistance, is the primary material used across all projects.

The use of granite paving not only enhances urban aesthetics but also withstands harsh weather conditions. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction affirms that these renovations have significantly improved traffic safety, order, and visual appeal, earning widespread approval from residents.
