Despite the prolonged rainy weather, the land clearance for the Ring Road 1 project, specifically the Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc section, is progressing at a rapid pace. Machinery is working at full capacity to demolish structures within the designated area.
The clearance area is securely fenced off with barriers, ropes, and warning signs by the authorities.
Dozens of concrete drills, cutters, and excavators are deployed along the Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc route, operating continuously.
Demolition work is being carried out simultaneously to hand over the land for road construction, with many structures being dismantled in a short period.
After the houses are demolished, concrete slabs, broken bricks, and exposed steel bars are revealed.

The Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc section, spans three wards: O Cho Dua, Lang, and Giang Vo.
The total land area to be cleared is 153.341 m², affecting 1,983 households.
On December 10th, the O Cho Dua Ward People’s Committee announced the completion of 100% land clearance for the project. The ward has 591 approved compensation plans, with 586 cases already handed over (99.2%), and the remaining 5 cases have agreed and committed to hand over upon receiving relocation housing.
In Lang Ward, the land area within the clearance boundary is approximately 30,047 m², with 597 clearance plans.
Upon project completion, the road width will be significantly expanded.

The Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau – Voi Phuc section (former Dong Da District, now O Cho Dua, Lang, Giang Vo Wards), spans over 2.2 km with a 50-meter width. It starts at the intersection of Cat Linh – La Thanh – Yen Lang Streets at Hoang Cau and ends at Voi Phuc intersection.
The project has a total investment of over 7,200 billion VND from the city’s budget. Approved in December 2017, it was expected to be completed by 2020 but faced delays due to land clearance issues.
