Mailisa Couple Voluntarily Contributes 300 Billion VND to the State Budget for Remediation Efforts

Major General Nguyen Manh Hung revealed that through situational monitoring, the Police Department of Investigation for Corruption, Economic, and Smuggling Crimes detected irregularities in the cosmetic business operations of companies within the Mailisa Ecosystem, led by Phan Thi Mai and Hoang Kim Khanh.

Based on the investigation results and collected evidence, on November 21, 2025, the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) of the Ministry of Public Security initiated a case for “Smuggling” at MK Skincare Company and related entities. Eight individuals were charged and arrested for “Smuggling,” including (1) Phan Thi Mai; (2) Hoang Kim Khanh; (3) Nguyen Thi Ngoc Truc; (4) Tran Dan Phuong; (5) Vuong Phuong Nghi; (6) Vo Hoai Son; (7) Lu Xueyi; and (8) Do Bich Thuy. The initial investigation estimates the total value of smuggled goods from 2020 to 2024 at approximately 370 billion VND.

To date, the IPA has recovered 3 billion VND, 4,000 USD, 300 taels of gold, and 100 land use right certificates. Additionally, Phan Thi Mai and Hoang Kim Khanh voluntarily contributed 300 billion VND to the state budget to mitigate the consequences.

Regarding the quality of Mailisa products, the IPA collected samples of all products sold by the Mailisa system and is collaborating with specialized agencies for quality assessment.
