Thanh Hoa Police conducted searches at the residences and workplaces of the above suspects to collect documents and evidence related to the violations, serving the investigation process.
Preliminary investigation results from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police reveal that the suspects colluded to accept bribes from ship owners to allow vessels to depart ports under their jurisdiction faster than usual.
Immediately after the arrest of the Port Authority officials and leaders, the Vietnam Maritime Administration and Inland Waterways reassigned Mr. Dinh Quang Dang, Director of Hue Port Authority, to serve as Director of Thanh Hoa Port Authority. This ensures uninterrupted operations and prevents any disruption in the control of vessels entering and leaving Nghi Son Port.
