Elderly residents of Ho Chi Minh City using health insurance cards for medical check-ups
The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency responds: Citizens do not need to complete any additional procedures to receive the free health insurance card. Previously, to ensure timely, synchronized, and accurate implementation, the agency requested that commune, ward, and special zone People’s Committees urgently compile and submit lists of residents aged 65 to under 75 (using the attached template) to the local social insurance office by November 25.
Wards that have not previously provided data must do so immediately to avoid missing eligible beneficiaries. Based on the lists provided by the wards, the local social insurance office will review, cross-check, and create three lists to return to the ward People’s Committees.
List 1: Individuals aged 65 to under 75 who have not participated in health insurance or whose health insurance cards have expired.
List 2: Individuals aged 65 to under 75 who have participated in health insurance under the household health insurance group with valid cards.
List 3: Individuals aged 65 to under 75 who have participated in health insurance and are receiving support from other policies, not eligible for support under Resolution 56.
For citizens without a social insurance code, provide your citizen identification or personal identification number to the commune, ward, or special zone People’s Committees so the social insurance agency can issue a social insurance code. The Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance Agency will collaborate with the wards to review data and issue health insurance cards to these individuals.
