Vietnam Airlines (HOSE: HVN), the national flag carrier of Vietnam, has announced significant changes to its leadership team.

Effective January 1, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung, currently the Head of Development Planning, has been appointed as Deputy General Director and Director of the Commercial Division. His term will span four years.

According to the company’s disclosure, Mr. Quang Trung also serves as a Board Member of Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Company.

As of now, Mr. Trung holds 5,977 HVN shares, representing 0.000192% of the company’s charter capital. His related parties do not own any HVN shares.

In related news, Vietnam Airlines has issued Decision No. 327/QĐ-ĐTKDV dated December 19, 2025, regarding the number of shares represented by Mr. Dinh Viet Tung, a Board Member, on behalf of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC).

Mr. Tung has been authorized to represent approximately 1.47 million SCIC shares in Vietnam Airlines. He is responsible for fulfilling the rights and obligations of a Capital Representative as outlined in SCIC’s regulations and Vietnamese law.

Mr. Dinh Viet Tung currently serves as Deputy General Director of SCIC and is a Board Member of HVN.

Regarding financial performance, Vietnam Airlines’ Q3 2025 Consolidated Financial Statements reveal a 9.1% year-on-year increase in net revenue to VND 88.9 billion for the first nine months of 2025.

Cost of goods sold rose slightly from VND 69.7 billion to VND 73.9 billion, resulting in a gross profit of nearly VND 15 billion, 1.5 times higher than the same period in 2024.

After deducting taxes and fees, HVN reported a net profit of approximately VND 7.2 billion for the first three quarters of 2025, a 14% increase year-on-year.

As of September 30, 2025, the company’s total capital reached VND 73,737 billion, a 26.7% increase since the beginning of the year.

Current assets surged from VND 17,338 billion to VND 32,684 billion, driven by a significant rise in cash and cash equivalents from VND 4,627 billion to VND 16,304 billion due to increased non-term bank deposits. Short-term receivables also climbed by VND 3,269 billion to VND 10,591 billion.

On the liabilities side, total debt stood at VND 67,368 billion, slightly lower than at the start of the year. Short-term and long-term loans and finance leases totaled over VND 15,962 billion.
