“Shark Tank” is widely regarded as one of the most influential reality TV shows in the entrepreneurial world. To date, this format has been adopted in over 50 countries, serving as a launchpad for millions of business ideas globally.
Among its various versions, the U.S. edition has spanned 16 seasons, Canada’s has reached 18, and the UK’s has aired an impressive 21 seasons. In Asia, “Shark Tank India” stands out with 139 episodes across just 3 seasons.
Beyond its global reach, “Shark Tank” is celebrated for its high-quality content, having garnered over 40 international awards, including four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Reality Program.”
In 2017, “Shark Tank” officially arrived in Vietnam, coinciding with the nascent growth of the local startup ecosystem. After 7 seasons and 100 episodes, it has become one of the most successful versions in the region.
“Shark Tank Vietnam” has featured 330 entrepreneurs from 13 diverse sectors pitching for investment. Of these, 199 deals were secured on the spot, and over 38 projects have successfully completed due diligence and received funding.
Thanks to the show’s widespread impact, participating startups gain exposure to approximately 39 million TV viewers and tens of millions more on digital platforms. This visibility has significantly boosted marketing efforts, revenue, and brand recognition for many young businesses shortly after their appearance.




Notable startups from “Shark Tank Vietnam”
Several startups have seen remarkable growth post-“Shark Tank.” DH Foods, for instance, secured a $1 million investment and signed a deal just one month after appearing on the show. The company has since expanded its exports to Europe, establishing Vietnamese spices in the international market. It now boasts over 100 dedicated articles and sells approximately 1.2 million products monthly.
Sổ Bán Hà ng doubled its user base within a week of airing, saw revenue double in a month, and launched a new business model.
In fashion, Coolmate experienced a revenue surge from 39 billion VND to 360 billion VND in three years. In 2025, the startup completed a Series C funding round from three major Asian funds.
Beecube, the first mini projector startup to receive a “golden ticket” from Shark Minh Beta, saw a 250% revenue increase. Bánh Mì Xin Chà o became the first Season 6 startup to secure $500,000 and rapidly expanded to 20 stores in Japan within six months.
In Season 7, Bacte, a biological product, became a rare project to receive offers from all five sharks and exceeded its 2024–2025 business targets within a week of airing. Nada Oils saw website traffic soar by 4,700%, online orders increase by over 1,000%, and in-store sales rise by 20% immediately after the show.
Beyond television, “Shark Tank” hosts community events like the “Shark Tank The Purpose Entrepreneurship Incubation Project” and the “Shark Tank Forum.”
However, in recent years, legal issues involving some sharks’ personal business and investment activities have significantly impacted “Shark Tank Vietnam.”
Lê Hạnh, CEO of TV Hub and producer of “Shark Tank Vietnam,” confirmed to Dân trà that the show has ceased production with no plans to restart. It concluded after 100 episodes, ending with Season 7 in 2024.
She acknowledged that the unforeseen legal troubles of certain sharks negatively affected the show’s reputation and highlighted challenges in personnel selection and management that the team could not effectively control.
