VinFast is aggressively expanding its presence in the Indian market with plans to launch three brand-new electric vehicle models in 2026. Following its official entry into the market in late 2025 with the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs, the Vietnamese electric vehicle brand is demonstrating its ambition to build a comprehensive product portfolio, covering various segments in one of the world’s largest automotive markets.

The first model in the 2026 launch plan is the VinFast Limo Green, an all-electric MPV designed for families and transport services. Featuring a 3-row configuration with 5+2 seating, the Limo Green prioritizes space and practicality. According to specifications, it uses a 60.1 kWh battery, offering a range of approximately 450 km on a full charge. The electric motor delivers 201 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, paired with fast DC charging capabilities of up to 80 kW. Positioned in the mid-to-high segment, the Limo Green is expected to be priced between 22 and 26 lakh rupees in India, directly competing with emerging electric MPVs in the market.

Additionally, VinFast plans to introduce the compact VF 3 electric vehicle to target urban customers prioritizing affordability and low operating costs. The VF 3 features a sleek, mini SUV design with 2 doors and 4 seats. It is equipped with an 18.64 kWh battery, providing a range of approximately 210 km under test conditions, along with an electric motor producing 43.5 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. The VF 3 supports fast charging, capable of recharging from 10% to 70% in just over 30 minutes. With its compact size and cost-effectiveness, the VF 3 is expected to compete directly with popular mini EVs in India.

The third model in VinFast’s expansion plan is the VF 9, a large electric SUV and the brand’s most premium offering in India. The VF 9 features a 3-row design with seating options for 6 or 7 passengers, catering to large families or upscale customers. It is powered by a high-capacity 123 kWh battery, delivering an estimated range of over 500 km under the WLTP standard. The all-wheel-drive version features dual electric motors producing approximately 408 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. The VF 9 is equipped with premium amenities such as ventilated and massaging seats, rear-seat entertainment screens, a 13-speaker sound system, and a panoramic sunroof, positioning it to compete in the high-end large SUV segment.

The consecutive launch of three new electric vehicle models underscores VinFast’s commitment to long-term investment in the Indian market, rather than mere market testing. Leveraging its manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu and a diversified product strategy—ranging from compact urban EVs and family MPVs to large SUVs—VinFast is steadily establishing its foothold in a rapidly electrifying and highly competitive market. The year 2026 is poised to be a pivotal milestone, determining VinFast’s expansion and brand positioning in India’s next phase.
