Recently, Danone Vietnam Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the French Danone Group) donated 90,000 boxes of ready-to-drink Aptamil Kid nutritional milk (Aptamil KID UHT 110ml) valued at 1 billion VND through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. This initiative aims to provide timely nutritional support to children in flood-affected areas during the post-disaster recovery phase.

Understanding the compounded challenges faced by communities after floods, including limited living conditions and increased health risks, Danone Vietnam recognizes that children are a priority for optimal nutritional supplementation. With the goal of helping children regain their health and return to school, Danone Vietnam has donated essential nutritional gifts to children in severely impacted regions.

In this relief effort, Aptamil KID UHT was chosen as an ideal nutritional solution for children affected by floods. This ready-to-drink milk meets food safety requirements for quick transportation and consumption. It also provides essential energy and micronutrients, supporting health and boosting immunity during challenging times.

Ms. Trần Thị Hoàng Thư, CEO of Danone Vietnam, shared: “At Danone, we believe economic development and social responsibility are inseparable. Facing the challenges in Central Vietnam, we aim to share this burden. Our choice of Aptamil KID UHT for this relief effort stems from understanding the need for a convenient, ready-to-drink nutritional solution in post-flood conditions without requiring hot water or complex preparation.

This initiative also aligns with Danone’s mission to ‘bring health through food to as many people as possible.’ While we cannot fully compensate for the losses, we hope this donation provides essential nutrition for children’s recovery and stability. We extend our gratitude to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for their role in delivering our support to the community.”

This event marks a significant milestone for Danone in Vietnam, introducing Aptamil’s comprehensive scientific nutrition ecosystem and reinforcing its commitment to providing optimal nutrients for Vietnamese children’s development.

Building on over 100 years of global nutrition expertise and the vision “One Planet. One Health,” Danone Vietnam pledges to continue advancing sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives. Alongside delivering high-quality products like Aptamil, Danone will consistently support and nurture the healthy, resilient growth of Vietnamese children, particularly in the most challenging circumstances.
