On December 25, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police announced that the Traffic Police Department is intensifying efforts to ensure road safety. This includes detailed planning, assigning clear responsibilities to officers, and maximizing patrols to cover all areas without exception, especially during peak hours, nighttime, and high-risk periods.

Focus areas include national highways, provincial roads, and other critical routes prone to traffic violations.

Regarding drunk driving, the Traffic Police are strictly enforcing penalties in accordance with the law, recognizing this as a key measure to prevent traffic accidents.

Simultaneously, increased patrols target commercial freight vehicles, thoroughly inspecting both vehicles and drivers to address violations that could lead to accidents or infrastructure damage.

From December 15 to December 21, provincial Traffic Police issued 328 citations for drunk driving, totaling nearly 1.8 billion VND in fines. Additionally, over 100 cases involving overloaded or oversized cargo were penalized, amounting to over 900 million VND.

Beyond enforcement, the Traffic Police Department emphasizes ongoing public education on traffic laws. Officers directly educate violators during stops, explaining legal consequences and collaborating with transport companies to promote compliance through signed commitments.
